Last Month, the ALKrew got in the holiday spirit and participated in ALKU’s annual Season of Giving! This is when employees highlight and support incredible charities that the members of the ALKrew individually choose.
This year, we had a total of 11 submissions! This means that each of these fantastic charities will receive a donation of $1,500 from ALKU, resulting in a total of $16,500! The chosen charities include National Alliance on Mental Illness, March of Dimes, Jane Lloyd Fund, CF Foundation, Star Legacy Foundation, THON at Penn State, Swirls Around the World, Americans Parkinson Disease Association, Friendship Works 4 Elders, Dominican Women’s Development Center, and Twana Twitu.
Thank you to the ALKrew, who submitted these fantastic organizations, and for giving each of these charities a jump start on their 2023!
This year, ALKU’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) each received $2,000 to donate to any cause of their choosing! The chosen charities include Young Man With A Plan, Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, Black Girls Code, Mathematic Curriculum at Spark Academy, Uncommon Threads, Rosie’s Place, Trevor Project, Bail Project, Youth Villages, Children Without Hunger, Northern Virginia Family Service, TN Kids Belong, Jeff’s Place, FCSA, Northeast Independent Living Program, Haylee’s Hero GoFundMe, AHERO, Wounded, Warrior Project, K9’s for Warriors, T.A.P.S, The Jewish National Fund, Four Diamonds Foundation, The Lappin Foundation, and ADL.
That gives ALKU a total of 24 causes and initiates being supported this past holiday season. A big thank you to all of our ERGs who helped us to highlight and support some great causes!
ALKU looks forward to the 2023 Season of Giving next holiday season!
