each one is unique to the needs of the organization who implements it. It’s important to identify, as a company, what specific UKG requisites are needed and pinpoint where current UKG solutions could be lacking or bloated to ensure optimized UKG efficiency. At ALKU, we pride ourselves in connecting organizations with a refined network of consultants and experts that establish purpose-built UKG technology and stream-lined workflows that guarantee companies get the most out of their UKG systems and integrations. ## The Challenge:  UKG Performance Management and Succession A client with 1,000 employees needed assistance implementing Performance Management and Succession efficiencies. The job wouldn’t be done there though - this client also needed immediate [UKG Pro](https://www.ukg.com/solutions/human-capital-management) core optimization, reconfiguration, and re-mapping of fields. In this client’s case, not only would new UKG solutions need to be implemented for their workforce, but it was identified that their UKG Pro systems could be streamlined to better fit their employees’ needs. Professionals were needed to work hand-in-hand with UKG to keep them honest, get faster feedback, and ensure their tests/integrations are accurate. While many processes and workflows could be automated, it would be crucial to create long term documentation for users to learn the system going forward, training end users for lasting self-sufficiency. With all that in mind, ALKU was ready to answer the bell and connect this client with the ideal consultants to make sure their UKG processes catered exactly to what would elevate their business structure. ## The Plan:  UKG Consultants and Analysts At ALKU, we have a dedicated UKG team prepared to connect UKG experts with clients in need, so that team got to work. It’s up to this team to identify exactly what specific consultants are needed for a specific use-case. Firstly, it was clear that a specialist was needed to pinpoint where the client could best utilize their UKG system and integrate the new UKG solutions in a streamlined and efficient manner. A specialized Implementation Architect consultant was identified as being able to perform all these key functions, ensuring an optimized UKG structure could be set in place for this client. ALKU had found the builder, but the UKG team identified that another role was needed in this job. This client had previous systems that were already set in place. A specialist was needed to adapt these systems to the new UKG platforms, as well as fix any bugs or system errors that may occur as new solutions are introduced. Therefore, a UKG Senior Support Analyst was chosen to work alongside the Implementation Architect to make certain this project went through without a hitch. ## The Result:  Successful UKG Implementation and Succession The team of ALKU Consultants, alongside UKG support, got to work. UKG Pro HCM was implemented for the client, unifying a plethora of Human Resource activities into a singular platform. In the long run, this new integration would greatly aid the HR team of the client in managing an array of employee data, payroll, scheduling, and talent acquisition. Performance Management and Succession processes were also successfully implemented to guarantee this UKG implementation was optimized for longevity. All employees who would be using this new implementation were also successfully trained. It is of the utmost importance to have key ‘power users’ in place that can be there once the project is completed to also ensure the client’s workforce is properly trained moving forward.
